Defined in Christ

Image
At the age of 14ish, I started a Christian school after being homeschooled for 5 years. I was taken out of school and homeschooled because a random incurable disease called morphea showed up randomly at that time in my life. The kids treated me different because of it and stress made it spread. When I first started school I met some girls that would wind up being my best friends throughout high school. They didnt care about my skin or how i looked, they were great friends. Ab out 2.5 years ago, a girl with green and blue hair walked into a Baptist church. Most of the church didnt know anything about her. She did get some looks but hey she had weird hair, you know  :)  But many in the church said hi and were friendly. The Pastor and his wife even took her family out to lunch after service. Their kindness meant more than they knew. She had just been told earlier that month she couldn't carry her child full term because it could kill her and the baby. The church rallied around her

Train

A train can't go without coal or energy to make it move. What is the job of a train? Google:The job of the locomotive is to change the chemical energy from the fuel (wood, coal, diesel fuel) into the kinetic energy of motion. ... Besides steam- and diesel-powered locomotives, manytrains operate solely on electrical power. They get the electricity from a third rail, or electrical line, along the track. The train works as a whole otherwise it is just a boxcar. A boxcar has to  be linked to another boxcar to go down the tracks. A loose car can derail off the track or just stop altogether. Christians, we need to bind together in Jesus name (whole train). We need prayer and unity, not division and individuals going off alone. Feed your spiritual man with the word of God, seek Jesus' face daily, and go where He leads you. Down whatever track, to whatever destination, and follow Him. Let us united as sons and daughters of God, and fight this spiritual battle together. We don&#

Traffic Light

Many times on the road we come to a red light. We have the choice to stop, rest and then go straight, right or left. The one thing we can't do is go backwards. One because it is illegal and could end up disastrous. Second because it can cause chaos. Spiritually, on our path. Sometimes we need to stop, rest and wait on the Lord to direct our destination. The rest time might seem long and useless but He has a time and purpose for that season. Every season in our walk with Jesus  is an amazing opportunity to learn from Jesus. The best and greatest teacher in the universe is willing to teach me something! How awesome is that? Sometimes looking backwards at our path can be disastrous. Dont disaapear into the world like Lot's wife. The Bible says Galatians 5:1 KJV Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. If you have been set free by Jesus Christ from addictions, sexual issues, etc, don't

What clothes are you wearing?

I've lost weight so I need clothes that fit. Hence my shopping trip pre cruise a few months ago. Oh I was happy happy happy I could wear my pre kid size again. I go to a store, my eyes says oh look a clearance rack, and away I go. I walk up to my size, look at the cute clothes and someone walks up beside me. I glance over to see a 12yr old beside me. Then it hit me, weirdo go away. Old lady alert in jr section. My mind thinks I am 17yrs old but im lying to myself. So in utter dismay I walked away in sadness but come on what 36 yr old with 4 kids needs to shop in jr clothes? Me until my eyes were open to how absurd it was at that time. Spiritual what are you still doing that you need to wake up and say nope 20 years has passed I should be way farther in my walk with Jesus. Or maybe I've stayed in that position so long cause nobody else is there to do it. Just because there is a need, it doesnt facilitate your calling. BEST advice I received in Africa. Just because those cloth

Hardest people to witness to are?

The hardest people to witness to, is the Christians who have gone astray. They know everything about God and then chose to walk away from His path for their lives. And even justify their reasoning when talking to you. I want to knock them out, grab them and drag them to the feet of Jesus.....but I cant. But i wish I could. So many fellow believers no longer walking with God, following and chasing their own pursuit of happiness leaving the one who created their smile and laugh behind their path of destructive pleasures. Satan smiles while God cries at your path. PLEASE turn from your wicked ways, stop justifying yourself and serve Jesus. My heart breaks, I cant help them, I couldnt even save myself but God give me strength to keep going and being a light and humble me to repent and not wander. Repent wanderer before it is too late. God is coming back soon. Why did you run out of oil and sit alone in the dark (Matt 25)? Come into His light! Sinful pleasures last for a time but are the

Survivor #2

T here is another type of survivor. Those who have been kidnapped and are trapped by someone. They may try to escape in the beginning and fail and therefore give up hope and not try again. Or they develop stockholm's syndrome (psychological response wherein a captive begins to identify closely with his or her captors, as well as with their agenda and demands). Some victims do escape their captors. While I was in Africa, Al Qaida came into the capital and kidnapped 2 French men . Most Americans attended a security briefing and the security officer told us that the best chance to escape was within the first 24hrs. Other interesting things about Stockholm Syndrome: Psychologists who have studied the syndrome believe that the bond is initially created when a captor threatens a captive’s life, deliberates, and then chooses not to kill the captive. The captive’s relief at the removal of the death threat is transposed into feelings of gratitude toward the captor for giving him or her

The Rat #2

Image
Another rat lesson. I'm thankful God shows things even from the dirtiest creatures  ;) A rat that has been harassing my clean living space is now deceased. That rat destroyed the wiring to my carbon monoxide monitor thus killing it. He ate roach and ant bait poison meant to trap/kill other things not him. Ultimately freeing them all to be free and infest my house. He left disgusting feces all over my clean cabinets. He shredded sticky glue traps that then stuck to my pots. He made me clean up after him, never killing the problem, just preventing the evidence of him being there. If we think of this from a spiritual aspect, the rat is the devil. He likes to come into hidden places of our mind. He tries to not make his presences known but will leave evidence of him being there. He will sneakily trick us into allowing things into our lives that arent that big of a sin or so we think. This attitude then opens up so many other avenues of sin that will begin to consume our bodies a
