Niamey, Niger

I leave tomorrow for the clinic in Kollo for one week. I will be training the nurses at this clinic and going around to feeding station (seven totally) with my director. Please pray for me for wisdom and patience while training the nurses. I have learned a few words in Zarma and a few French words but not enough to communicate enough without a translator that thankfully knows some English. I have been spending a majority of my time with the Sustars. They are an awesome family and I am blessed to have them with me during my pre-orientation. My orientation won’t officially start till the first week of July and I will also be taking a language crash course then. Mrs. Cindy cooks amazing and has been cooking most of my meals for me  She has also been great about taking me around to the markets and helping me learn where everything is in Niamey. Wow. I have perfect peace here despite the fact I don't know anyone and can't talk to one the missionaries right now. I will be going to a nursing clinic in Kollo next thursday. The kicker? I am going to be training all the nurses. I am a nursing instructor in Niger, Africa :) Isn't that amazing? God is so good. I will post more later.

I have arrived at my destination :)

So I arrived in Niamey, Niger yesterday at around 3:30 p.m. the airport was a crazy mess but thankfully I had a nice porter #10 waiting to find me as soon as I got finished with customs and he helped me out with my baggage and took me to Mrs. Cindy. I feel like I was born to be here I can't explain it. I am so happy and peaceful right now and I know it is God. I do miss my family right now though. Niger is mostly desert from what I can tell, and they have beautiful HUGE lizards everywhere..lol....I will write more later. I am going next week to a clinic in Kollo and will be training nurses (yes I am a nursing instructor here! ha ha) and going around with Unicef in attempting to help control hunger issues and doing surveys. God is so Good! :)
