Shofar horn

One day in church (right before I went to Africa), the church was praying at the altar and God told me to go blow the shofar horn. In my flesh I was like nope I cant. See my friends and I practiced music at church back then and multiple times in the past I had picked it up to blow but only spits and pathetic noises came out so in my flesh I KNEW I couldn't do it. But God doesn't ask us to do the easy things, He tells us what to do (things we CAN NOT do on our own) and wants u s to fully surrender ourselves to trust Him. He wants us to do what He says and jump into HIS arms. The Bible says 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 KJV And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. [10] Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I stro

Survivor #1

So many of us go from the day to day routine and are on auto pilot until something happens in our robotic routine that makes us stop and question. I am a Christian why does bad things happen to me, to my child, to my family? We just try to survive that season of our life but we arent living. But what is surviving? A survivor is (according to google): 1. a person who survives, especially a person remaining alive after an event in which others have died. 2."the sole survivor of the massacre" 3.the remainder of a group of people or things. 4."a survivor from last year's team" 5. a person who copes well with difficulties in their life. Christians you better get to praying because if America doesnt turn back to God, we will be number 3. Cancer survivors go through hell. There are ups of thankfulness and excited followed usually by lows filled with despair and hopelessness. But all cancer survivors have two thing in common, do yall know what that is?

Goodbye Mountain

Is it just me or does anybody else think this way? Almost every time I post on Facebook,  I think about be what if this is the last post. What if something happens and I died. Is this the kind of post that I want people to remember me or look at when they miss me. Life is so short and there's so many things we can put our time and energy in. Please just make sure what you put your time and energy into glorifies God. God revealed this to me yesterday and continued today and I wanted to share. We can't change our past but praise God we can have redemption and healing from it and move into a new free future . Even if it means being completely honest with your faults and past. Sometimes even confessing something that happened years ago and asking forgiveness. The Bible says in Matthew 10:26 "Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known." And it also says in Revelation 12:10-11 "And I heard a lou

Rat

Image
So I have a rat, not a mouse, a rat in my nice lil home. It literally ate a hole in my dining room couch cushion last night and bit some wires all up. Now this rat did all this with a snoring 69pd German Shepherd dog literally not even a foot away. I had a false sense of thinking my dog would protect me from crawly things in the camper. Boy was I wrong.  # lazydog . Anyways, me being me, I'm like what is the moral of this story, there is one right? Of course, because God is good  and will reveal all sorts of things to us if we will just stop, watch, and listen. In the Spiritual world there are all sorts of things we are aware of that can cause issues or problems in our lives. But what about the hidden things in our "house" aka life. What about those things we think we are "protected by a lazy dog", our weaknesses. Lazy dog in this story being reading our Bible whenever we "feel like it" instead of daily like need to build up our spiritual man. We t

Rest in God

Sometimes we don't understand why we are somewhere then it becomes clear. We struggle to "fit" when we were never called to "fit" because we are to be led by the Spirit to go to a much bigger puzzle. We are like kids in a playground running at crazy speed trying to be the 1st person to get to the best thing. Not caring about who we are running over and within seconds being over that thing and rushing to the next. Life goes by fast, Slow down! Be led by the Spirit not yourself  or your emotions! During church yesterday, I had a revelation. I was in a body of water I'm just doggie paddling myself exhausted. I was yelling for help and Jesus came and pushed gently on my shoulder and I immediately floated on my back and He said REST. Help is coming. Rest in Him, he already knows your need and when you will get it, just have faith and stop trying to fix everything yourself or looking to other people to help you. Look to Jesus there you will find your help, res

Stuck to who?

The moment you realize you let a human's word stick to your soul more than the word of God. The words became like a wedge bar that was slowly prying the truth from your heart and placing doubt and hurt in your heart, emotions. Emotions distorting reality, stay focus on God not what you feel at the moment. Some people will tear you down, place doubt in your mind and discourage you from your calling. But God's word will be there forever and should stay nailed in your soul with  those same bloody nails that held him to the cross. His word should be stronger than any mortal tongue. Jesus was never "stuck" he stayed hanging on that cross for us repentive sinners. So dont let hurt people's word discourage you from where God has told you to go or where He has you "recharging" in solitude. Seek Him and Him alone and pray for each other. We all need more Jesus and less emotions. Job 4:17 KJV Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure tha
