6/11/19 - Rise Up

A walk to the altar at invitation is done by one of two people. A broken man or woman who has entangled themselves with the sins of this world and is desperately seeking help or a Christian who has turned away from their path and gotten distracted by sin. Sin is the one thing that separates us from God. If we have sin and don't repent of our sins, we can not have a relationship with Jesus. If Satan can get you off the path that God has placed you on, then he will try every weakness you have and tempt you. You may go down to the altar, a weak broken sinner but once you confess your sins and ask forgiveness. Guess what? Just like a man who kneels to become a knight, when you rise up, you are a soldier in the army of God. Kneel down and rise up saints of God. Kneel daily in prayer before God, so that when you arise, you are ready to fight the battle raging around us. Rise up my brother, rise up my sister. So many people are falling for the devils traps and falling on this spiritual battlefield. Christians pray for everyone you know. Tomorrow isn't promised, tell everyone you see about Jesus. You could be the only one that has ever shared Jesus to them. If someone was in the ocean and you saw a shark coming for them. Wouldn't you warn them? If someone was drowning, wouldn't you try to save them? Walking in this world and indulging in its pleasures is like swimming with sharks, temporarily exciting but deadly. When you are playing with sin, you aren't on safe ground. You are in the devil's playground and he makes the rules. Why would you turn your back on Jesus to go play with a lying soul murderer? Repent and rush back to Jesus. If someone was drowning wouldn't you try to rescue them? Show the hopeless, and drowning people of this world, the ultimate rescuer Jesus. What are you trying to prove to someone? This isn't a game, its reality and it ends in heaven or hell. Kneel, pray and get up.  Rise up Christian, you have been called to fight for a mighty cause in a great war. And if you keep fighting, victory is coming and His name is Jesus!

Luke 11:23-26,33-36 KJV
He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth. [24] When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. [25] And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. [26] Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. [33] No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light. [34] The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. [35] Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. [36] If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.
